TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION – MISTI ULTRA SUMMIT 2026

2. Event Overview and Vision
Misti Ultra Summit is a trail running and skyrunning competition designed to become the highest mountain race in Peru. The event will take place on September 12, 2026, on Misti Volcano in Arequipa. Its vision is to establish itself as a leading skyrunning event in South America, bringing together athletes, nature, and excellence in organization.
3. Participation Requirements and Physical Condition
3.1 Health and Risk Acknowledgment
Participants acknowledge that the race takes place in a high-altitude environment reaching up to 5,825 meters above sea level. Each participant declares they are in optimal physical and mental condition to undertake the demands of the race.
3.2 Medical Certification
For the 35K and 50K distances, participants must provide a valid medical certificate confirming fitness for high-altitude sports, issued no more than three (3) months prior to the event.
3.3 Minimum Age Requirements
6K, 10K, and 12K Trek: Minimum age 15 (with notarized parental authorization)
20K, 35K, and 50K: Minimum age 18 on race day
4. Registration Process and Payments
4.1 Platform
Registrations are processed exclusively through the official website using the Culqi payment gateway.
4.2 Confirmation
Registration is personal and non-transferable and will only be considered complete once payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation email has been received.
4.3 Pricing
Prices may vary depending on sales phases. All prices include applicable taxes (IGV).
5. Categories and Distances
The event includes the following categories:
- Chilina Valley: 6K, 10K, and 20K (introductory and recreational distances)
- Misti Volcano: 35K and 50K (high-demand, technical races)
- Trekking: 12K (for mountain enthusiasts)

6. Mandatory Equipment and Safety
Dada la naturaleza técnica y la altitud del escenario, los corredores deben portar obligatoriamente:
- Hydration system (minimum 1.5L for longer distances)
- Emergency thermal blanket
- Emergency whistle
- Certified helmet (mandatory for summit sections in 35K and 50K)
- Trail running shoes with adequate traction for volcanic terrain
Failure to carry mandatory equipment at checkpoints will result in immediate disqualification for safety reasons.
7. Cancellation, Refund, and Change Policy
7.1 No Refund Policy: All registrations are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, travel issues, personal reasons, or health conditions.
7.2 Registration Transfer: Participants may transfer their registration to another person up to 45 days before the event, subject to an administrative fee of S/ 50.00.
7.3 Distance Change: Participants may request: A downgrade (to a shorter distance) with no refund of the price difference
An upgrade (to a longer distance) by paying the corresponding price difference
All changes are subject to availability.
8. Event Modification or Cancellation
8.1 Force Majeure
The organization reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, or cancel the event due to extreme weather conditions, unusual volcanic activity, or government mandates that may compromise participant safety.
8.2 Rescheduling
In the event of postponement, registrations will remain valid for the new date established by the organizer. No refunds will be issued.
9. Image Rights and Intellectual Property
9.1 Authorization
Participants grant the organization and sponsors the right to use their name, image, and voice captured in photos or videos during the event for promotional, commercial, or media purposes worldwide, without time limitation or financial compensation.
9.2 Trademark
“Misti Ultra Summit” and its logos are the intellectual property of the organization. Any unauthorized commercial use by third parties is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
10. Personal Data Protection
In accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29733, personal data provided will be stored in a database owned by PRIME SPORTS EVENTS E.I.R.L. This data will be used for: Event logistics management,
Medical and safety purposes,
Future communications and promotions

11. Environmental Responsibility
Misti Volcano is a natural icon. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Littering outside designated checkpoints
- Leaving marked routes or taking shortcuts
- Damaging local flora or fauna
Any environmental violation will result in disqualification and potential bans from future editions.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru.All parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lima, Peru.
