Suggested Gear
- Footwear: Trail running shoes with superior traction for technical high-altitude mountain terrain.
- Hydration: Hydration containers with a minimum 1L capacity; be aware that extreme cold during the ascent may freeze liquids — plan accordingly.
- Warm Clothing: Windproof jacket, fleece mid-layer or equivalent (long-sleeve), gloves and warm beanie or chullo.
- Mandatory Safety Gear: Emergency thermal blanket (min. 1.4m x 2.0m / 4.6 x 6.6 ft), whistle and fully charged mobile phone.
- Lighting: Fully functional headlamp with two sets of spare batteries.
