Join our night training experience, hiking through the dark to Marcahuasi — a unique opportunity to build altitude endurance and mental strength ahead of race day on Misti Volcano.

  • Date: Saturday, August 29
  • Departure: 9:30 PM
  • Arrival at Marcahuasi: 2:00 AM
  • Return departure: 10:00 AM — heading back to Lima
  • Lunch and breakfast included
  • Hot drinks and restroom facilities available on arrival in San Pedro de Casta

Two guided routes:

  • Intermediate route — 11 km (6.8 mi) | 450 m (1,476 ft) elevation gain | ~4 hours | Max. altitude 4,000 m (13,123 ft) | 3 support guides. Intermediate experience required — for runners comfortable with 12–15 km distances and prior high-altitude exposure.
  • Intermediate/Advanced route — 18 km (11.2 mi) | 850 m (2,789 ft) elevation gain | ~6.5 hours | Max. altitude 4,000 m (13,123 ft). Open only to intermediate and advanced-level participants with at least 15–25 km of trail distance, full gear and prior high-altitude experience.

Mandatory Gear (Important)

  • Breathable base layer or long-sleeve shirt

In the days leading up to the training: avoid antibiotics, high-fat or hard-to-digest meals, dairy and similar foods.
